The first visit to Myanmar was at the start of Davids ministry in 2009. Some years later in 2015 Johan visited again as a newlywed with his wife Alette.
Now, at last, Forerunner is returning.
Bram (chairman of the board) and Thea are traveling to Myanmar in november 2025 to stand beside David and to encourage the team that has endured so much, and to help launch a brand-new Bible School that will raise a new generation of leaders for this hurting nation.
Why This Visit Matters So Much
For the Forerunner team, this trip is more than a mission — it’s a homecoming. A decade ago, we walked and prayed alongside these same leaders. Today, we return to see what God has done through their faithfulness and to help strengthen what He is building.
We’ll be teaching, praying, and worshiping together — bringing encouragement to weary hearts and resources to empower new ministry. Most importantly, we’ll remind them that they are not forgotten.
A New Chapter: The Bible School in Bago
This year marks a new beginning: the opening of a Bible and Mission Training School in Bago. It’s a dream that’s been in prayer for years — a safe place where believers can study Scripture, grow in leadership, and be equipped to reach unreached people.
Through this school:
Young men and women will receive biblical training and hands-on ministry experience.
They’ll learn to lead house churches, serve communities, and share hope in places where Christianity is still unknown.
Graduates will go out to plant new churches, disciple others, and bring light into some of Myanmar’s darkest corners.
The campus is being prepared for opening
