Crisis Response
His Love compels us: bringing Relief to Myanmar’s Hardest-Hit Communities
When disaster strikes, it rarely comes alone in Myanmar: Floods, political unrest, and than a massive earthquake — each wave of crisis leaves families struggling to survive. Yet in the midst of loss and dispair, something powerful keeps moving: a small team of believers who refuse to give up.
Faith That Responds Faster Than Fear
When the earth shook violently in March 2025, entire towns crumbled. Roads split open, homes turned to dust, and terrified families fled into the open fields. But before most relief organizations could reach the area, David and his team were already there.
Their church became a shelter. Their hands became lifelines. Within hours, they were distributing food, caring for the injured, and comforting those who had lost everything.
For months they had prayed for a vehicle to help them reach remote villages — and just as the earthquake struck, an unexpected gift arrived. The funds covered the exact amount needed for a pickup truck. That truck became their emergency lifeline — delivering rice, clean water, and even a generator to villages cut off by landslides.
It was as if God’s provision had been waiting for this very moment.
Bread, Water, and Dignity
Long before the earthquake, the same team had already been working tirelessly through Myanmar’s political and economic collapse. As many were displaced and had to flee the violence, food prices soared and farmlands flooded. The team turned their children’s ministry buildings into food distribution centers and shelters for displaced families.
They loaded scooters with bags of rice and cooking oil, riding through muddy backroads to deliver help where no one else could reach. In villages where clean water had run out, they helped dig new wells and shared bottled water with families who had been drinking from polluted rivers.
Every act of kindness — every meal, every bottle, every prayer — whispered the same truth: God loves you, you are not forgotten.
From Relief to Renewal
Emergency aid soon grew into something more. The team began offering sewing and computer classes for people who had lost everything. Widows learned new trades. Young men discovered skills they never thought they’d need — and with them, a renewed sense of purpose.
These small beginnings became seeds of restoration, giving families not just food for a day but a future they could rebuild with their own hands.
Blessing in the Midst of Chaos
Despite unimaginable challenges — constant danger, political tension, and the weight of endless need — hope continues to grow in Myanmar. Each bag of rice, each rebuilt home, each quiet prayer in a candlelit room is a reminder that faith can survive any storm.
